Shining a Light on World Mental Health Day: Join Us in Making a Difference
Every year on October 10th, the world comes together to observe World Mental Health Day – a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, breaking stigma, and encouraging conversations that can make a real difference in people's lives. At Milltir Sgwar, we believe in the power of solidarity and understanding, which is why we're thrilled to announce our special initiative for this year's World Mental Health Day.

15% for Mind Cymru: Making an Impact Together
From October 3rd to October 10th, Milltir Sgwar is committing to donate 15% of all sales made during this period to Mind Cymru. This incredible organization tirelessly works to provide support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges in Wales. By joining hands with Mind Cymru, we aim to contribute to the betterment of mental health resources and create a brighter future for those who need it most.
Our work so far
Milltir Sgwar has donated £400 to Mind Cymru since we started the company in 2020. Lets make this the best year yet!

Understanding Mental Health: Facts and Figures
1. Prevalence: Mental health issues are more common than you might think. In fact, approximately 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year.
2. Youth Impact: The younger generation is particularly vulnerable. Half of all mental health conditions begin by the age of 14, and 75% of them develop by the age of 24.
 3. Global Concern: Mental health knows no boundaries. It affects people of all ages, races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and it's a leading cause of disability worldwide.
 4. Economic Impact: The economic impact of mental health conditions is significant. In the UK alone, mental health issues cost society £70-100 billion annually.
5. Stigma and Discrimination: Stigma remains a major barrier to seeking help. Many people still feel reluctant to talk about their mental health due to fear of discrimination or misunderstanding.

Taking Action: Small Steps, Big Impact
As we approach World Mental Health Day, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health and the impact it has on our lives and the lives of those around us. Small actions can have a big impact: -
Start Conversations
Open up dialogues about mental health. A simple conversation can make someone feel heard and supported. -
Educate Yourself
Learn more about mental health to dispel myths and misconceptions. Knowledge is a powerful tool.
Support Organisations
Consider supporting organisations like Mind Cymru that are dedicated to improving mental health resources and support systems. -
Practice Self-Care:
Remember that taking care of your own mental health is just as important as supporting others. Prioritize self-care. This World Mental Health Day, let's come together to raise awareness, break stigma, and show our support for mental health initiatives. By joining hands and making a difference, we can create a world where everyone has access.
